Informational content

The guides and calculators on Chock & Level are general information for owners working on their own recreational vehicles. They are not a substitute for the manufacturer's documentation for your specific unit and model year, for applicable codes, or for a certified RV technician. Procedures, readings, and part numbers vary by model; verify against your own manual.

Safety and risk

Propane systems, 120-volt electrical systems, batteries, pressurized water heaters, and vehicles supported on jacks can cause serious injury, death, fire, or property damage. You perform any procedure described on this site at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety, for your equipment, and for complying with local laws and codes. Where a guide says to stop and call a technician, do so.

Calculators

Calculator results are estimates based on the inputs you provide and on published typical values. They are planning aids, not engineering certifications. Weight calculations in particular must be confirmed on a certified scale, and no result on this site authorizes exceeding any manufacturer rating.
